I was having so much trouble figuring out what to do with the bright orange cotton yarn from the failed skeleton beanie attempt a few weeks ago. I tried making dishcloths out of it at first, but I disliked how obnoxiously loud they looked. I paired it with several different colors in my double stranded storage baskets. Each time I was frustrated with the outcome. I kept wanting to mellow it out with a calmer color. Yesterday I decided to pair it with another yarn that I don't find pleasing on it's own.

I kinda like how these two yarns combine. The multi color yarn always felt like it was missing some warmth, like it was missing the color orange.

Together these yarns made a striking pencil cup cozy.
